    Real Madrid's defence of their La Liga and Champions League titles has not gotten off to the best of starts as Los Blancos have struggled to find their right balance following Kylian Mbappe's incorporation into the side. Over the last couple of weeks, the 15-time Champions League winners have seen humbling defeats by Barcelona and AC Milan, putting into question Ancelotti's immediate future.

    Marca have now reported that Real Madrid are calm about continuing with Ancelotti this season as they believe the legendary coach will be able to correct the deviation in their course to success. The Italian has a contract until the summer of 2026, and Los Blancos are keen to keep him at Santiago Bernabeu for the duration.

    Regardless of Real Madrid's positive attitude towards Ancelotti remaining at the helm of the club, Marca's report has suggested that Florentino Perez and co. have drawn up two names to take over from Ancelotti mid-season if the situation does not improve. Those two names are Real Madrid Castilla coach Raul Gonzalez and former boss Santiago Solari.
