Manchester United are reportedly ready to cut their losses on Antony just 18 months after the winger’s £85 million ($104m) transfer to Old Trafford.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Brazil international was acquired by the Red Devils during the summer of 2022. A big-money deal was put in place with Ajax, but the South American forward registered just eight goals during his debut campaign. Antony is yet to find the target this term and has been caught up in domestic abuse allegations away from the field.

reports that United are willing to offload Antony in January as part of a squad “reset” that will see incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe hand Erik ten Hag a recruitment war chest. The Red Devils are said to be in the market for another winger and full-back.
